Unless you have a concern about a specific and unnatural contaminant in your water (for example, leakage of sheep dip) then the following standard tests will indicate whether your water meets current purity standards.

In the case of the chemical analysis a mortgage lender will normally insist upon seeing the full analysis. You may, however, specify a reduced range of tests for individual parameters such as nitrates or lead etc.

Bacteriological Analysis

First you need to order a sterile bottle from us. We require a non-refundable deposit of £5.00. You can telephone us and give us your address and card details or you can print off an order form and post it to us with your cheque or fill in your card details. The bottle can be used anytime within twelve months of issue.

Next you need to print off an order form and complete your details; this will accompany your sample.

Finally, you must collect the sample and bring it to us before midday on one of the days specified. Please see detailed instructions on the Bacteriological Analysis page.

First follow the instructions on the ‘Standard Chemical Analysis’ information page to prepare your sample.

Next print off an order form and complete the relevant details.

Finally send or deliver your sample together with the order form to our premises.

NB All analyses must be prepaid in full. We accept cheque, card or cash.
